Now we know what's been going on for a long time in this country with the so called experts, the polls, the media. This election exposed all of it. That will be as good a thing as Donald's election as long as we remember what happened in this election next time.

Trump had to call attention to the conceivable threat of a rigged election in order to lessen its effectiveness.

Obama in June said ...:
When somebody says, like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back, well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do? There’s — there’s no answer to it. He just says, “Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.” Well, how — what — how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually, the answer is he doesn’t have an answer.

Good call.

Obama has no idea how to negotiate, so it's not surprising he said that.

When somebody says, like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back, well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do
Indiana state officials have agreed to give United Technologies Corp $7 million worth of tax breaks to encourage the company to keep at least 1,069 jobs at its Carrier unit in Indianapolis, Carrier and the state said on Thursday.
Reuters reported earlier this week that United Technologies would still would proceed with plans to close its Huntington, Indiana United Technologies Electronic Controls plant that employs 700.

Trump also faces pressure to prevent other job cuts. There are several other factories in Indiana that closing and Senator Joe Donnelly, a Indiana Democrat, urged him to take action to prevent other job losses. The United States has shed about 5 million manufacturing jobs since 2000. Indiana alone has lost about 150,000 factory jobs since 2000 to about 500,000.
And:

Economists expect 175,000 jobs to be added in November, up from 161,000 in October, and see the unemployment rate remaining at 4.9%.

Yes, with the new way they calculate it. If they used that method before Obama, unemployment rate would have been about zero.

Palin wrote that the "illogical precedent" leads to special interests manipulating markets.

"Republicans oppose this, remember?" she wrote. "Instead, we support competition on a level playing field, remember? Because we know special interest crony capitalism is one big fail."

She continued, adding that the "picking and choosing" which companies receive "corporate welfare" is roiled by fiscal conservatives and is a "hallmark of corruption" and "socialism."

"A $20 trillion debt-ridden country can’t afford this sinfully stupid practice, so vigilantly guard against its continuance, or we’re doomed," she said, adding, "However well meaning, burdensome federal government imposition is never the solution. Never. Not in our homes, not in our schools, not in churches, not in businesses."

And I didn't think you approved of corporate welfare, socialism, executive meddling, and sweetheart deals. But as a Trump guy, he could shoot somebody in Times Square and...

Ford now wants a piece of that action now, too.

I agree with Palin on this. Maybe it was just her way of saying "I don't want a job in he Trump WH."

There's that "corporate welfare" baloney term again.

Once he's in there, corporate income tax reductions will have the same effect for everyone. No more picking and choosing.

Who cares about obummer, he's toast, same for the shrill, and so goes marxism, it simply does not work anywhere, and after 20 trillion dollars on your kids tab it doesn't work here either...

That Trump had up to $250,000 invested in United Technologies/Carrier recently, maybe now (who can say) had nothing to do with this deal right?

C'mon, Trumpsters deal in conspiracies, innuendo, half truths: apply that Obama paranoia to your trust fund golden boy and see what you come up with!

The useful idiots aren't in the game now; they're rebuilding the Dems and hoping Trump and his cabinet of billionaires (the New Swamp) don't sink the ship...

We should demand all candidates decendeth upon the presidency directly from the right hand of God. In this way we would be sure there could be no conflict of interest preemptively - before they could ever take place. We can never be too safe.

Mugs asked about the recount.

The popular vote issue would be doa if your boy hadn't whined about it:

In one tweet, Trump wrote, "In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally."

He lied twice. Lost the popular vote, lied about the millions of illegal votes. Total BS.

Take it up with your hero, not me.

Take California out and Trump wins the popular vote in a landslide.

California is so unrepresentative of the rest of the country that even if they voted like the other Democratic states, he still wins the popular vote.

Thank God for the electoral college.

Take California out
And if Lynch runs, the Seahawks win. And if Jill Stein wasn't unhinged, recalls would be a non issue.

Back to the real world.

One thing for sure: The new Executive thinks he's smarter than companies and markets and will intervene as he sees fit. Shooting from the hip; improving his stakes perhaps?

The right went ballistic when Obama issued executive orders and meddled; Trump? Nah, way too deep in the tank to be critical, or even thinking...

Just hope Carson can stay awake during Cabinet meetings, aside from being completely unqualified for the job...he's going to be responsible for 48.5 billion...

Companies that outsource their operations to another country will face "retribution," President-elect Donald Trump warned in a series of tweets Sunday morning, saying they should be "forewarned" before making "a very expensive mistake."

"The U.S. is going to substantialy [sic] reduce taxes and regulations on businesses, but any business that leaves our country for another country, fires its employees, builds a new factory or plant in the other country, and then thinks it will sell its product back into the U.S, without retribution or consequence, is WRONG!" Trump said.

He continued:

"There will be a tax on our soon to be strong border of 35% for these companies wanting to sell their product, cars, A.C. units etc., back across the border. This tax will make leaving financially difficult, but these companies are able to move between all 50 states, with no tax or tariff being charged. Please be forewarned prior to making a very expensive mistake! THE UNITED STATES IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS."

Trump's tweetstorm echoed what he told workers assembled at the Indianapolis plant of the air-conditioning company Carrier last week, after striking a deal with the company to keep approximately 1,100 jobs in Indianapolis.

"Companies are not going to leave the United States anymore without consequences," Trump told the workers. "Not going to happen. It's not going to happen, I'll tell you right now."

We are not very enthusiastic about government-run economic-development programs that rely on industry-specific — or firm-specific — tax breaks, grants, or other concessions. In the long run (and generally in the short run, too), these programs are almost always corrupt in themselves and a source of corruption in others, with the benefits going mainly to politically influential and well-connected companies, whether that means Solyndra during the Obama administration or Carrier in the Trump administration.

Inevitably, what happens is this: The government creates a set of incentives to encourage certain kinds of business activity, from “green” energy to manufacturing, and then, after a few years pass, complains mightily that companies are responding to the incentives that the government created. Consider those periodic journalistic spasms over General Electric’s low corporate-tax bill or the criticism that Starbucks encountered for taking advantage of manufacturing credits in its manufacturing operations: Those deductions and carve-outs didn’t happen by accident — they happened exactly the way the Carrier deal is happening.

In the long run, cushioning the bottom lines of particular industries or companies is a poor model of economic development, and the rationale of “saving jobs” is almost never defensible once you run the numbers. It is a hard truth, but if a worker’s job is “saved” by writing his employer a $7 million check, then what you are engaged in is not economic development but income redistribution.
Only income redistribution if done by a Democrat. Trumpers think millions in tax breaks paid to a company loaded with federal contracts is a miracle.

National Review thinks it's a lousy idea.

Trump transition spokesman Jason Miller said Flynn's son, Michael Flynn Jr., was helping his father with administrative and scheduling duties. The elder Flynn is Trump's incoming national security adviser.

It came a day after a firestorm over Flynn Jr.'s promotion of the "pizzagate" conspiracy theory, which baselessly alleged through fake news stories that a pedophilia ring involving high-level Democratic Party officials — including Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's campaign chair, John Podesta — was operating out of a Washington pizzeria called Comet Ping Pong.

On Sunday, police say, the conspiracy theory led an armed man to come to the pizzeria. The 28-year-old man brought an assault rifle to the restaurant and was looking to investigate the story himself, according to police.

"Until #Pizzagate proven to be false, it'll remain a story," Flynn Jr. posted to Twitter. "The left seems to forget #PodestaEmails and the many 'coincidences' tied to it."
So, the administration granted a conspiracy spouting fake news nut a security clearance. Well done.

He's since been relieved of his duties, presumably to return to his computer in mom's basement...
